In late February 2024, the Listen to Michigan campaign stunned the political establishment by delivering a 100,000 strong protest vote of Joe Biden’s policy in the war on Gaza.

Inspired, New Jersey’s chapters of the Democratic Socialists of America executed a unique petitioning drive to become the first state to have delivered a final warning to Washington, garnering 10% of the vote in the Democratic primary, under the ballot slogan “Justice for Palestine, Permanent Ceasefire Now.”

With more than 45,000 votes counted so far, Uncommitted’s result in New Jersey has inspired the Muslim-American voters and the anti-war left to organize electorally, statewide, and beyond a ceasefire, for a Free Palestine.
