North NJ DSA

In New Jersey, history is made by mass movements of working class people. From the Paterson Silk Strike of 1913 to the Newark Rebellion of 1967, the BLM protests of 2020 to glimpses today of an ascendant labor movement, North NJ DSA is building on the legacy of working-class organizing from the bottom up. North New Jersey DSA is the regional chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America. We believe that working people should run both the economy and society democratically to meet human needs, not to make profits for a few. We use a variety of tactics, from legislative to direct action, to fight for reforms that empower working people.

Take Action

Votes for All NJ

When it comes to our noncitizen neighbors the far-right sees a political opportunity. But democratic socialists see our only hope of building a unified working class to win the progressive priorities New Jerseyans deserve. Join the campaign to win enfranchisement for noncitizens in local and school board elections.

Jake for JC

Jake is running for city council to build power for ordinary, working people in Ward D and across Jersey City. Corporate developers have too much power in our city, our community has too little say in what development looks like, and public schools and services desperately need adequate funding. We deserve more from our leaders—not weighing corporate interests against the rest of us. Working people in Jersey City deserve power.

Palestine Solidarity

A working class majority of Americans are fighting for a ceasefire in Gaza, and an end to the occupation. Join DSA phonebanks, call electeds, and organize and fight for liberation.

NJ Labor Solidarity

All across New Jersey workers are demanding more and taking action to win it. From nurses strikes to logistics workers and teachers, stay in the loop with on-the-spot labor solidarity alerts.
